A:Seria interessante ver a referência exata, e se a expressão "pálido nascer da lua" foi uma formulação pessoal do autor, ou uma citação de um autor teológico do passado. A lua é um símbolo bem conhecido de Nossa Senhora. Dois significados especialmente têm sido populares.

Em comparação com Cristo, que é chamado solinvicto, Maria é a lua que recebe a graça e a glória de Cristo, o sol eterno. Ela é, portanto, completamente dependente de seu filho: sua vocação, missão, privilégios, etc. Neste contexto particular, às vezes ela é comparada também à aurora que anuncia o novo dia. Crescente e minguante, a lua é um sinal de mudança constante. Simboliza a natureza, suas forças cegas e movidas, a passagem e o retorno de suas estações. Transposta para o reino humano, esta imagem aponta a instabilidade moral, o coração mutável, a mente crédula e nossa determinação frequentemente vacilante. De pé na lua, Maria contrasta todas essas atitudes de fraqueza humana por meio de sua firmeza, determinação firme e fidelidade amorosa.
